Hourly pay rate: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour

Location: 3585 S Camino Real Washington, UT 84780 (On-site)

 

Shift options: All shifts work every other Saturday

  • Overnight Shift: 10:00pm - 8:00am 
    • Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
      • or
    • Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Do you bring emotional awareness, strong boundaries, and a desire to support healing in high-acuity environments? Are you calm under pressure and committed to showing up with purpose? If so, Sunrise invites you to join our overnight team as an Overnight Youth Mentor, a key role in our trauma-informed, residential treatment program for adolescent girls and boys ages 12-17. 

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the transition from evening routines to bedtime.
  • Conduct room checks, monitor emotional regulation, and respond to any safety incidents.
  • Intervene early and effectively during emotional or physical escalations.
  • Maintain firm boundaries and model emotionally regulated behavior.
  • Communicate key observations to the treatment team.
  • Document overnight events thoroughly and consistently.
  • Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, organized environment.
  • Participate in staff and house bonding activities.
  • Maintain professional boundaries while building therapeutic rapport.

Qualifications

  • Basic Requirements: Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license.
  • Safety & Certification: Able to pass a Utah State background check and obtain a Food Handler’s Permit before starting.
  • Crisis Readiness: Trained or willing to be trained in CPR, First Aid, and safe restraint techniques.
  • De-escalation Skills: Confident in managing and calming agitated or combative students.
  • Relationship Builder: Strong communication skills and the ability to form healthy, supportive connections.
  • Positive Role Model: Committed to teaching and modeling strong values and respectful behavior.
  • Long-Term Commitment: Willing to commit to a minimum of 8 months in a structured, team-based environment.
