Salary: $68,000 - $72,000 per year

Location: 3611 S Camino Real, Washington, UT 84780 

Schedule: Monday - Friday / 8:00am - 4:00pm (Full-time)

Occasional weekend and remote on-call shift required

 

 

Our Nurse is responsible to care for medical emergencies and for the general medical needs of the students. You would also be responsible for sorting and passing medications accurately. Our team works to uncover the academic, social, and emotional potential of girls who have been held back by emotional and behavioral struggles. 

Responsibilities

  • Assess students reporting illness or pain and determine need for sick bed placement.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, weight, and behavioral changes, especially during medication changes.
  • Administer medications accurately and document in the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
  • Train staff on medication administration and conduct quarterly medication trainings for staff and students.
  • Track and count narcotics to ensure proper handling and compliance.
  • Coordinate lab draws and manage medical documentation, including physician orders.
  • Communicate relevant medical updates to the Treatment Team and Psychiatrist in verbal or written form.
  • Schedule psychiatric, medical, and immunization appointments as needed.
  • Prepare medications for home passes and discharges; pick up prescriptions from pharmacy when required.
  • Complete nursing assessments for new admissions and maintain inventory of medical supplies.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

  • Understand standard medical terminology, techniques, and legal charting requirements.
  • Proficient in using nursing tools and equipment (e.g., stethoscopes, thermometers, diagnostic kits).
  • Skilled in assessing student health and physical condition.
  • Able to communicate medical information clearly to students, families, and staff.
  • Competent in checking vital signs and documenting findings accurately.
  • Comfortable using word processing software and navigating internal systems.
  • Maintain and update CAQH profile and obtain NPI number for credentialing.
  • Knowledgeable of organizational policies and healthcare compliance standards.
