Are you a purpose-driven clinician passionate about guiding adolescents through meaningful transformation? Sunrise Residential Treatment Center is seeking a compassionate, skilled Program Director to join our dynamic, trauma-informed team.

We specialize in relational, experiential, and evidence-based care that addresses trauma, emotional regulation, and family systems.

Responsibilities

  • Set strategic direction for the residential department across all campuses.
  • Design and improve residential programs for students and training initiatives for staff.
  • Oversee personnel management, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions for Lead Supervisors and program staff.
  • Maintain professional communication with parents, ensuring timely and respectful responses to inquiries.
  • Coordinate schedules for both students and residential staff to support operational efficiency.
  • Lead and facilitate mandatory trainings and participate in accreditation visits with State and TJC representatives.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and emergency drill protocols.
  • Manage departmental budget, including purchasing decisions and financial oversight.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, contributing to interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings and working closely with Assistant Clinical Directors to align residential and clinical practices.
  • Participate in leadership activities, including weekly Management Correlation Meetings and administrative team responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree is preferred in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years experience in residential or therapeutic program management with current or recent role in residential leadership.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with compliance standards (state/federal regulations, Joint Commission), therapeutic interventions, and employee management (Hiring, training and performance evaluations.)
  • Skills: Strong organizational, conflict resolution, and leadership skills. Proficient in word processing software.
  • Abilities: Build a positive team environment, communicate effectively, and manage resources efficiently.
